Wordpress Users - LinkWorth Plugin Updated for 2.5.1

For those of you that use Wordpress and are up to date with their software, you probably noticed our plugin stopped working properly. We apologize for this and we have two versions of the plugin available. (should be available late tonight or first thing tomorrow morning 5.27.08)

WP 2.3x and under
or
WP 2.5x and over

We’re also excited to have our plugin moved into the widget world. This is definitely the easiest way to display our ad units on blogs and we’ll let you a know launch date when it gets near.

Beyond our current version plugin, we are getting a brand new WP Plugin project underway. Options are good, right? That is all I’ll say to this until I have more.

If you use Wordpress and have not upgraded to 2.5.1, I would highly recommend you do so. The 2.5x upgrade is definitely a work of art. Design and usability is great.

I’m still getting a fatal error when I try to active the new plugin. I’m running WP 2.5.1

benwaynet - are you positive you downloaded the new version from your account? If you go to:

>> Partner > My Sites > Publish > (pick product) > (pick site) > Wordpress Plugin > select download

If you have done this, can you please tell me what version of the plugin shows in your plugin list?

Hello,

Where’s the download link to the plugin?

#5 Ron Wicker on 06.04.08 at 11:18 pm

The new plugin version is v.1.0b7. After doing some testing it appears the download page has reverted to an older file.

We’ll get the new download back up and I’ll post back here once it is up. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok, it appears I’m not the only one up working late.

Follow the steps to download the plugin in your account (mentioned above) and you’ll see the newer download option now.

Now As you said , I can see both the latest plugins for wordpress in my account.
I downloaded the latest one (wp 2.5 and newer) and installed it on my wp 2.5.1.
The installation works fine and the plugin is activated without any fatal errors.
But when I try to go to the settings page of the plugin,it doesn’t shows up.
I try the whole thing again in my another blog of wp 2.5, all works fine and i can see the settings page also…
But it is not showing up in wp 2.5.1..

Arun, spoke with the plugin developer and he suggested trying to disable your other plugins, then activate the LinkWorth plugin first. See if that allows the settings page to show.

Also, if your theme alters the admin templates at all, it might be beneficial to try switching to the default theme and see if it works with that. (This is not a common issue. Only if your theme changes admin files)

Is there any updates for this plugin to work with wordprerss 2.7?

#10 Ron Wicker on 02.17.09 at 3:52 pm

Hesham… the plugin has worked for wp 2.7 since 2.7 was available.

you have to have a LinkWorth account, then you must make sure you get the website id and hash id for your site listed with LinkWorth. Once that is correct, make sure you have the latest greatest version of the plugin.
