We have updated our Terms of Service, section 8, Price Schedule and Payout. This update is mainly applicable to Advertiser accounts.
This change will also bring future offerings that will benefit both Advertiser and Partner accounts. Look to see something announced within the next month.

this is an important change, and we should have received an email announcing it.
I discovered it last week and contacted support because I thought it was an error, and just today I received a response explaining this change in prices.
Now link placements on my websites are too expensive, I don’t think I offer an attractive deal to advertisers as before, I hope I’m wrong!!
If it was a change to only your prices I could see where this would make your deal unattractive, but it is a system wide change so you’re still competing with the same margins as you were before.
I can assure you this is not going to change how much business comes your way, matter of fact, it is going to help increase business.
This is a brand new update and we’re still in the phase-in stage working out any bugs. Official announcements will be made towards the end of this month or first of next, beyond what has already been announced.
Don’t worry Ronald, a good site is a good site. Since the majority of transactions are made by our staff these days, with that only to increase dramatically, quality is the top of the order these days.
Thank you for the concern and let us know if you have further questions.
so did this update increase business? As for me I didn’t get any new deals lately, and my income is going down.
And the way this extra fee is applied is a bit tricky, it’s supposed partners get 70%, but now we are actually receiving less.
I hope LW will return to what it was before, making deals clear and affordable.
@Ronald - yes, business has increased quite considerably. We’ve been able to increase resources to key areas that were lacking. With that being said, we have almost 40k sites/blogs in our network so this doesn’t mean it necessarily translates to increased sales for everyone. But overall, “Yes”, sales are up.
The service fee isn’t tricky at all. You set a specific price, say you enter $100, and you are still getting $70 ($100 * .7 = $70). Your earnings have not changed at all. The service fee has zero impact on partners, it only applies to certain transactions made by advertisers.
Your last suggestion was hoping LinkWorth will “return to what it was before”. LinkWorth continues to grow and continues to pay more and more money. Deals are as clear and affordable today as they have always been. The cost per link is lower today than it has ever been, even with the large number of sites/blogs.
Feel free to email me if you have further questions.
