After a long couple of days dealing with server issues, I thought it only seemed fitting to do a top 10 list of why I hate computers and the internet. Please feel free to add your own reasons below:
10. They get in my way of working out every day for 2 hours then running 10 miles . . .
9. Instead of making work easier, they actually create more work than I had before . . .
8. I find myself saying LOL instead of just laughing . . .
7. I’ve noticed that I’d rather hang out with the nerds instead of the jocks now . . .
6. Rather than get work done, I seem to Stumble through the night . . .
5. Where before I couldn’t find enough sex in life, now I find myself getting sick of being propositioned every other email . . .
4. Because of number 5, re-read number 10 and number 9 . . .
3. As far as technology has come, I feel more unorganized and lost than I did with no computer . . .
2. With number 3 in mind, how in the world did we survive before computers . . .
1. I can’t imagine my life without either of them!

Sooooo True! I’ve never been busier in my life and the whole reason why I got into online marketing was to have more “free time”…. Yeah Right!

lol, how true those sentiments are. An excellent rundown on life in front of a computer.
Before GUI, we had to keep good notes on our commands we issued to the mainframe. Now, thanks to the right-click, I don’t have to keep notes or remember everything, so I remember little to nothing.
I really HATE my imac…it has wasted so much of my time…I would rather be playing the piano or reading….so I am going to get rid of mine forever and get a life !
i hate the iternet because it gives people the chance to fill their minds with filth and hurt the people around them, porn needs to be completely erased from the internet. i hate it with a passion. Internet just gives perves the chance to be nasty and to show things that should be kept sacred by two people and shows it to the world.

I too have come to despite the internet and computers. While I marvel at the technology, I have come to the conclusion that the world we live in is UNNATURAL. We are not built to have screens thrust in front of our faces for most of our waking lives. It’s a stressful life of endless work. Not to mention the cell phones – the dog leash of modern communications keeping us enslaved. Helllp
Listen to yourselves. Hating computers and the internet, the best things that have ever happened to us. Now we can cure diseases, talk to people half way around the world in seconds, fly airplanes without crashes, and many marvelous things. You people make me sick. I would like you to see our world now without computers.
Be thankful for what we have. Machines that do 300,000 math equations in 1/2 a second. Computers are power, computers are knowledge and computers are what keep our world up and running now.

this is so true! i was an active runner till i met the computer.i stop working out stopped running..im thinking about getting rid of this computer and internet!

I agree with all the posted comments. In life you have to take the good with the bad, be responsible with what you have, like managing your time. In the old days we used to wait for the mail man to get that special letter, now we have email. Kids used to go out a play and get to know each other, now we have the internet. Robbers used to hold up stage coaches and the like, now they scam you on the internet. The internet is the most awesome library ever!
With regard to Touchstone, is it true that it will not come with an additional charging cord? ,

Very true. I have OneNote and I can’t figure out a reason to use it despite it’s many features. It’s just capitalism in your face. I still haven’t utilized Word to it’s full potential. I have Excell and Powerpoint too and I feel like a loser because I don’t have a need for them in my life. I think it’s just Microsoft trying to brainwash us into thinking we need to use these applications everyday or we are not living up to our productive potential, whatever that is.
So true, what baffles me is that all I have is a simple laptop and an HP printer which wants to sell me cartridges but can’t be bothered to print my documents, it has tried to take over my laptop like a rabid nazi in the thirties, with a staggering number of programs, clogging the life out everything i do. I HATE COMPUTERS…..
300,000 calculations per 1/2 second? maybe on an intel 4004.. try around 5 billion calculations per 1/2 second on todays CPU’s. And yeah, f….orget computers.
When computers first every one was afraid of job loses,
others were talking about a shorter working week because of the work the computer can do. I was a cabinet maker working with wood , but the skills I learnt are no longer needed. Every thing now is done by computer driven machines, which means that most factories only need one skilled worker and the rest have to become non thinking workers. And for the same money I had to make three times as much.
Through greed every company wanted to become more productive and now there are more things around than we need.
The captains of industry and economics missed the greatest chance ever given to mankind to make plesant for everybody in the world .
Where are we now after 20 years of computers , just a smaal percent of the world is happy.
God I HATE computers! they are soooo slow sometimes and when you want to do something, like buy in an auction u go to refresh the page and the bastard of a screen goes white and it takes ages! GRRRRRRR! Soooooo anoyying! they take over your life!
and anyway all you people saying that we couldn’t live without computers? um…. hello wake up! we lived without them before, we can do it again! they are just poluting our world like everyother piece of technology, not saying i hate technology but if we never knew it existed we could easily live without it

Hey, why are you guys talking about hatred of computers and the Internet, but express it through the computer and the internet as well?
Without realizing it, it turns out you still need it as well right? Although to express resentment against these innocent items.
The important thing for us is, remains as the controlling computer and the internet, let us not be controlled by it. OK! Keep smiling, life is too beautiful to be abandoned.

They’re good to the extent that it makes communication much easier but everytime I say I’m gonna do some work on the pc I end up playing games or watching YouTube !!! it’s a major distraction … ruins ur self discipline
I love the internet and computers because it means I can spend my time at home and not have to go outside and meet new people. As a sociophobic IRL, this is perfect for me

Computers have made everything more difficult, more stressful, enabled stupid people to have power, ruined our voting system, destroyed our economy, and in general, are poised to turn the world upside down.
yea computers have saved a few lives, at the expense of others. couple of diseases are now not as bad. science is ready to destroy us all with a higgs-boson vortex. fantastic progress.

If you hate them so much why use them to express hate for them? Why even own one? Why not live without one?
I hate computers today. I loved them when there was focus. If computers hadn’t been dumbed down for the masses to sell as a toy then we would be getting allot more done with them. Phones are the next victim. They used to make phone calls. Go figure. I miss my prompt and being bound by ascii. There was light at the end of the tunnel back then. It was productive fun. Now it’s like a television and the office chair is the new couch … awful!
