Hypothetical - Reality Show or Bust

This hypothetical has to do with Reality Shows. We’ve all seen them, loved them, hated them or just flat out ignored them.

You have the chance to be in a reality tv show. The outcome could make the rest of your life financially comfortable. If you chose to do it and actually win the grand prize, you would never have to worry about money again.

The flip slide would be that the world may view you in a negative way and your life would be hell due to the amount of negativity received from the reality show. There would be nothing you can do about it, once it’s done, it’s done.

Would you take that chance of possibly ruining your reputation with the opportunity of winning and making your life financially stable, or would you pass the entire thing up and keep things as they are right now?

I’ll take the reality show shot, i suppose.

“The flip slide would be that the world MAY view you in a negative way ”

I think i have a solid set of ethics and morals, therefore, I think i would play the game fairly, though probably aggressively. Survivor comes to mind, as I used to love this show. In many cases, we perceive the players to be evil or self-centered, but the fact of the matter is that to win that game you have to be a bit self-centered and aggressive. It’s winner takes all. Kind of like checkers. Just a different format.

If it so happens that the world perceives me in a negative light, then so be it. You can’t please everyone.

I would choose reputation over money, no doubt. My reputation is far more important than any amount of money.

No way, nuh-uh, not a chance. There’s no amount of money sufficient to compensate for public ridicule of myself and, unavoidably, my family.

As long as it was a cool reality show, I think I’d be in. I’m not too concerned with what other people think about me….I’ve got plenty of friends.

I’ll try the reality show and then ask Jerry Jones to make everyone believe I’m better of a person than they perceive. Maybe even sign me to a one year deal playing wide receiver for the best NFL team ever known to this universe, The Dallas Cowboys.

Totally depends on the type of reality show and what’s involved. If it wasn’t something completely asinine, then I’d go for it.

If it involves eating ungodly things - no way.
