Quick hypothetical this week.
You have the chance to pick 5 human beings in the world and end their lives by any method you feel is necessary. It would be the perfect crime because authorities are on board with what you’re doing and will clean the scene up after you’re done and make it all go away. Would you take this opportunity and take out people you think are bad for the world, someone you just hate, someone due to religious beliefs or maybe someone that is suffering and it could be a gift? The only catch is, you have to write a personal letter to each family explaining why you terminated someone from their family.

I`d have no trouble in thinking of 5 or even 500 people in the world who are a waste of space and would be better off not breathing. Certain political leaders (and by that I mean despots who are cruel to even their own people), to people in the local news who murder someone because they happened to answer back, or try to defend their property.
Could I do it myself, no, in all honesty, I could never take someone else`s life, however much they deserved it (unless in self defence of course).
I would, WITHOUT QUESTION, rid the world of 5 worthless individuals. Killers themselves, I’d have no problem 86′ing them and writing their families a letter. Better yet, I’d like to pay them a personal visit and explain why it was that they’re family member has moved on to another plane.
Kinda dark, but it’s only hypothetical, right? I won’t name any names but I can think of a pretty long list of candidates.
Yea, I don’t think I would. Sometimes I am judgemental and later find out I was wrong, so I don’t think I would want that kind of responsibility.
The only way I could do it is if I knew I would never have any remorse the rest of my life. I always hear how people re-live the incident every day and it drives them crazy.
“SO”, if that is possible, then hell yeah, I’d probably help the world with pedophiles.
If I would have to deal with it mentally, I’d just push them into a 25ft pit that is full of millions of army ants.
(ps: this hypothetical was based on this horrible story.)
Only five? Are you kidding? I would have no problem identifying five individuals who would, in my opinion, thank me for taking them out of their own misery.
Of course, being the “Apologist” that I am, I would have to apologize before, during and after the process.
HA! That’s funny Christine. “sorry..’whack’…sorry…’whack’…sorry”
How do you know I haven’t already?
Interesting and very tempting proposition. However I have found no matter how much someone deserves to be eliminated all people serve a purpose in the grand scheme of life and will eventually get what they deserve. The existence of bad people offer opportunity for good people to do something about it. I have turned into a fortune cookie!!
I am trying to explore ways to kill already. I lost one son to drugs and I am loosing another one. I have the person who deals…sells….names…phone #….time when he gets home…go out…have people over…car licence plate…names of his buddies….his girlfriend…where she works….what time she comes in and out…I know the license plates and the make of the cars they use….
I just have to pick the right time, eg when he’s driving alone…you have to wait and sometimes it can take a good while. It will happen and when it does he will see my face as I hold the picture up of my son.
Ps. This is suppose to be hypothetical right umm
Carol,
I hope it’s hypothetical
.
To answer the original question… It’s an interesting question think. Simply because even though this is a hypothetical question, giving a hypothetical answer is not easy
. That is I can’t disconnect.
There are hundreds of people I’d like to see behind bars to be put away for good, no questions asked and no rights whatsoever.
I don’t think I’d even order a hit though.
