Ok, after all this going on I had to see what GOOG was doing (notice I link to Yahoo!). As I’m watching their stock price in amazement, Yahoo’s refreshing thing refreshes and I can’t get my print screen done fast enough, but this is what I “witnessed”:
I just couldn’t help it knowing the whole “Evil (#6)” thing and what is going on today.
Should we start a chant around the world for anyone who owns Google stock? SELL GOOG, SELL GOOG, SELL GOOG ! ! ! A public company means it’s owned by the public, somewhat. If you’re a stock holder, then show them what you think of them and sell while it’s this high and make your money!

Facebook hates Google too!
That’s just such an appropriate figure. Frankly, I hope those idiots in Mountain View buy a bad batch of whatever it is they’re smoking.
Glad Facebook went with MSFT. honestly, i love microsoft. Google is … ok. Their organic search results are the bomb, but i hate adwords and adsense. And for some reason, it’s wierd to me that every online business has to depend on ONE search engine platform to really be successful. They hold a dangerous monopoly on search and small business is at their mercy. If MSFT and Yahoo! could take more market share and level the playing field I honestly think it would be best for everyone. well.. maybe not Google’s $600 a share stock price, but for all of us regular people trying to make a living peddling our warez.
I have always been a fan of microsoft–ever since i was 14 years old, pluggin away at MSDOS commands. I would love to see MSFT break out with a revolutionary product(s). They are a great company and i think they still have some cards under their sleeve. It might be time to start using them. They just are not going to beat google at organic search as it is currently designed. they need a new angle.
I think that Live search interface with the actual person talking to you while you searched was a great step. That idea has legs. they need to get their marketing people on it to figure out how to get more people using it. Google is very simplistic, which is cool, but I like a little bit of interaction, and i just don’t get that from Google.
I like some of Yahoo search’s new features too.
Seriously, GOOG is just a misstep away from getting slapped by monster competitors like MSFT, Yahoo and… well.. maybe not ask.com — but good try

any thoughts on megadawg.com….the “pit bull” of search? come on, dude, you got this.
I like Google for the most part. That’s why I don’t understand why they are going after those that buy and sell links after THEY dicided to assign extra value to those links. Now they say we can’t buy, sell, and work with that value???
Either take away the ability to manipulate linking as a factor for everyone, or just deal with that which you have created. Hidden text does not work now, why should linking? Figure out some other method to rank sites that we can’t easily mess with and stop screwing with our heads.
I’ve been a long time Google fanatic, too, Chris. It’s only in the past 36 hours that I’ve realized how insidious their technology’s been, and I’m debating whether finding alternative search engines, email, calendar program, etc., is a “blow for the little guy” or just spitting in the wind.
That said, it did my heart good to see they closed over -6 AGAIN today.
Weenies.
Does this have something to do with Google penalizing blogs and website ?
Or this just a coincidence ?

Funnily enough my 3 blogs have all stayed at the same PR. I don`t particularly work hard on them, backlinks and stuff, but just keep them ticking over.
Yeah.. Sell Sell Sell…all before NEXT YEAR MAY 2008 cuz China Stop Building ..and ready the handover for the Olympics 2008 and the development is doomed after that.
Stocks in China is over inflated anyway, 10 to 1, so when it burst… US is a sitting duck.

Google’s search results are unbeatable, but with enough money, MS or Yahoo might be able to compete.
Remember what was Business mantra when it started out? “Do No Evil”!!

After experimenting with several alternatives, I moved to MS Live, that I have been using exclusively except in very rare occasions. I must say that I am very happy with MS Live results. I experienced with Yahoo Search, and though I like the very cools search assist feature, in terms of results/speed I think that it’s only a matter between Google and MS Live. Since I have been worried for a while about Google’s evil intentions (even more after today’s closing stock price) I’ll be using MS Live until the beast is defeated!
