Everyone has creative juices flowing through their blood, some just have a little more than others. The guy in the picture above is one of the more creative people I’ve seen in a while. The fact we just bought a couple new laptops from Dell makes me feel like an idiot. Who knew I could have hooked up an old PC and made it mobile. He even has surround sound with a bass speaker behind his head!
Comparing the laptop below with the, umm, mobile PC above, I think I’m more interested in the one above.

I dunno… the laptop seems a little more… er… portable.
Yeah, the laptop is obviously better, but talk about a conversational piece!! Imagine walking down a busy street and coming up a red light. While you’re standing there waiting, you look over and this dude walks up. There is no doubt I would talk to the porta pc.
Ron…we have the equipment here at the office to build one of these for you.
Don’t you dare let my husband see that picture! He’s just the kind of guy who’d say, “Hey, that looks like a great idea. Why spend money on a nice little laptop when you could get a workout AND keep your old PC?!”
I mean it.
I’ve seen a lot of hard core computer guys that really need one of those to get back in shape… wait, I’m one of them…!
Seriously, anyone that knows physics can tell that photo is a fake! Despite the heavier weight of the CPU and woofer, the extended distance from the fulcrum point of the old-style monitor would clearly cause the arangement to pitch forward unless someone like the governor of California was operating it! Also there is no image on the monitor which is another clue. Clearly the CRT should be replaced with an LCD for it to be practical.
Hmmmm. Is the power supply being towed in a wagon tied to his belt? I can’t see in the photo. Or are they just using a long extention cord…?
Well, if it was for real, I don`t think I`d like to be too close to him if he turned around suddenly.
Well I bet he can’t take that on a flight though!
After spending the past few hours trying to learn about blogging - where to go, how to get ‘known’, etc. - it was refreshing to happen along here and get a chuckle! Thanks.
