Good job Google. I thought the little “G” icon was pretty boring.

I noticed that too yesterday, I think it’s an improvement on their old designs as well. From a brand management perspective, it makes a lot of sense. If you notice most other Google product logos (Chrome, Google desktop, etc) all have logos that feature in some way or another the colors of the “Google Rainbow”. By branding their products this way they create individual brand identities for each product, while maintaining an overall Google Brand image, which has been taken from the classic Google logo with each letter a different color.
personally, I like the new LinkWorth favicon…
The old google favicon is a trademark… I miss it.
New Favicon … and what’s the meaning? Anyone knows?
I like the new google favicon, it looks much better than the old one.
@ForPublisher - reading on the google blog, the new design still incorporates the old “g” with their company colors.
Look closely and you’ll notice the “g” in white.
Personally, I hate google - so they could have this new one that they probably overpaid someone to design or a pile of crap as their favicon. It really doesn’t matter to me.
Oh yes, I’ve noticed that too. Looks quite cool.
