Is this a subtle hint that I should keep myself planted in Big D instead of NYC? hmm?

I need to work on the whole “Giants” thing first.

Doesn’t “America’s Team” sound more enticing?

You know why it’s so cheap to live in Dallas? I paid extra so it’d be cheaper for the rest of you.

This is exactly the reason that my wife and I have been considering a move out of our current area. We’ve been looking at areas with a lower cost of living as it can make a huge difference.

You guys should try living in the UK, then you really would be in for a shock. Petrol (gas) is over double over here to what you pay for it. Housing in London is horrendously expensive, as is the cost of hotels, and everywhere food and clothes are going up in price. I don`t live in London, I`m from the North, but even here money isn`t what it was.

Geoff I’ve heard it’s pricey over there. Not to mention our dollar isn’t worth as much in your currency. I’ll stick to where I am and enjoy the easy life. I just wish we had some scenery, less heat/humidity and less tornadoes. But if that’s what I have to deal with, then so be it. I’ll just move underground. :-)

Before you pack up and head for Texas take a look at other East Cost options. Baltimore is still quite affordable, the city has cleaned up a lot, it has a great art and music scene, and real estate is still low. Portland ME is also a great place to consider, it offers a lot of big city bang for small city buck, and the Amtack connects commuters with boston.

HA! Geoff, I think I’m ok where I am. I used to live just north of New Orleans, close to Mississippi, actually where Katrina leveled everything and I think $46k isn’t a fair price. Not that I have anything against Mississippians, I just wouldn’t want to live there.

Craig, I figured there were plenty of places that are affordable, but there’s one huge factor with me, I’m a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and these places aren’t Cowboy friendly. Plus I’d have to factor in the sports packages just so I could watch my teams. :-)
